One of the best things about owning a shop is the ability to support local artisans – especially women! I am passionate about supporting and encouraging women in business; in fact, Chateau Sonoma is entirely run by women!!!
I’ve been meaning to showcase some of the wonderful women artisans we carry in the shop, including jewelry, handbags, scarves, beauty, and paper - and today is the day! I hope you enjoy ready a little bit about each of these companies, we hope you'll stop by the shop to take a look at their products!
Pennyroyal
Penny Royal Design is a handcrafted handbag company based in Petaluma. Pennyroyal bags are made from scratch with only the highest quality materials. We love that each bag is unique and no two are exactly the same escaping the look of mass production!
RobindiraUnsworth
Robindira’s jewelry is handcrafted in Petaluma, CA. We adore Robindira's use of natural materials and beautiful color combinations. Her creations are the perfect everyday piece and always delight when given as a gift.
Austin Press
Austin Press is based in the historic Pier 70 shipyard of San Francisco. Kim weaves vintage throughout every product she creates – all handmade and absolutely beautiful! We are huge fans of Kim’s vintage inspired paper goods – her use of vintage presses, cotton papers, and printers’ ink! Kim also creates candles, ephemera, and apothecary. You might recognize Kim’s note cards tied with her signature red & white twine, which we religiously carry in the shop!
French Girl Organics
We recently began carrying French Girl in the shop quickly after discovering the 100% pure plant based beauty products. French Girl founder Kristeen vows a commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly products, which we couldn’t love more! We hope you’ll stop by the shop to test some of these amazing products which we know you will love as much as we do!
Halo & Swan
Halo & Swan produces artisan textiles using time honored Indian traditions of hand blocking. Hand blocking is the earliest way of printing on fabric. The ancient technique combined with modern patterns makes our hearts sing. You can find these scarves in the shop, and on our necks
