We are excited to welcome Arabelle Amboyan once again to Chateau Sonoma to share her beautiful voice and her passion for traditional French music. Her name says it all as it means beautiful, loving, lovable and graceful. She is all of that and more!
Arabelle was born in the South of France and as much as she enjoyed life in the country, Paris was a calling. She spent twenty years in the City of Lights, where she studied theater, acting and musicals. While she was there, she performed in Parisian cafes and cabarets as a singer and perfected her own style reminiscent of her mentors from Edith Piaf to Josephine Baker (whom we adore). She also likes to mix it up with modern French Pop!
I guess life in the country called her back and after visiting some friends in Sonoma, she fell in love with the way of life here and the people she met along the way. We feel very fortunate that this is where she landed and are thrilled to provide a venue for her to perform at Chateau Sonoma!
French Music Artists to Listen to this Bastille Day:
We are always looking for music to play in the shop that will export people to our beloved France so we thought we’d ask Arabelle to share with us her mentors and favorite French artists.
Edith Piaf was the first person she mentioned and I will have to say Arabelle reminds us of Edith and her unique and personal style. Next, she mentioned George Brassens and Charles Aznavour who is considered the Frank Sinatra of France. When you listen to his playlist you will understand why.
We are looking forward to celebrating Bastille Day with you all and celebrating the national day of France and all things French. We will be serving champagne and macarons hand made by La Marie Macarons that are out of this world.
We look forward to welcoming you and Viva La France!
