We’ve officially started the countdown until our Meet The Makers Holiday Marketplace on November 24th, and we can’t wait to feature local entrepreneurs and their incredible goods. With every product created and sold by each proprietor, the Marketplace will be an ideal spot to shop for meaningful and unique holiday gifts that also give back to our local artisan community.

One of the many talented makers joining us for the Marketplace will be long-time Chateau vendor Pennyroyal—a Petaluma based company creating timeless and understated modern handbags. Proprietor Jennifer Conner is such a warm and genuine soul who designs each piece with the most careful attention—from the leather itself to the grommets and even the details inside the bag. You can tell that she puts her heart and soul into what she creates, and it shows in her incredible work.

The real je ne sais quoi behind Pennyroyal is the true uniqueness of each piece, with endless possibilities for customization. As a company that was “built out of the desire to build your favorite handbag—even if that means they start from scratch”, Pennyroyal pushes the boundaries to create individualized pieces unlike any that you’ll see on the shelves of a department store. No two bags are truly alike. Especially since the design for your dream bag can even come straight from your head, brought to life just as you pictured it. We could not be bigger fans of Jennifer, her work, and these bags. You’ll see many of us carrying them in the shop everyday, a true testament to both their style and everyday durability.
