WE ARE SO EXCITED TO WELCOME ARTIST AND ENTREPRENEUR VERONICA NAPOLES FOR THE VERY FIRST ART SHOW IN A SERIES WE PLAN TO HOST AT CHATEAU SONOMA FARM!
This Saturday September 7th, Artist Veronica Napoles will be joining us at the Chateau Sonoma Farm to unveil her newest collection of artwork “Beyond Borders” for the first time. Her body of work demonstrates the difficulties of moving between cultures and defining one’s own identity, and we look forward to its exclusive debut in person.
Veronica, a Cuban-American and first-generation immigrant, grew up with the feeling of being displaced. Born and raised in Spanish Harlem, she was often mistaken as Mexican or Puerto Rican. Her artwork is an expression of the challenges she has faced being “in between” cultures.
The process of painting for Veronica is an unraveling of identity as well as a confirmation of her heritage. She states, “my art can best be described as an attempt to build a cultural bridge for issues in the life of a first-generation immigrant.”
We are thrilled to be hosting Veronica this weekend, Saturday September 7th from 6pm to 8pm, to share her series of 10 self-portraits that have recently been completed. She will also have giclée for sale and prints of the original art. In celebration of Veronica and her culture, there will be live Cuban music from Amedeo Guitar Duo and Prohibition Spirits will be providing refreshing mojitos to get us into the Cuban spirit! If you’d like to join us for this special event at the farm this weekend, head to the link below to grab your ticket!
We hope to see you there!
